Lightopus Review

If a petri dish of microscopic organisms could be imbued with the bright neon lights of Times Square or Las Vegas in any way, it could begin, the psychedelic masterpiece that is light opus rivals. This brilliant game, alternately frenetic and relaxing, perfect stitches attractive graphics and simple but satisfying gameplay. The players find themselves on the microbe makes neon visuals mesmerized and completely immersed in the solid mechanics and responsive controls.

In Lightopus, the player controls the titular creature that looks like something from the deepest depths of the ocean. By controlling this illuminated floats into small vesicles, freed of the players called Bulbies tiny allies. This is then followed around the Bulbies Lightopus. Each Bulbie be collected to help the Lightopus swim faster and faster until he is racing fast enough to propel itself from its current level to the next. This can also Bulbies as living weapons against the many enemies that occupy each level by those used in the course of these enemies. Thus, in each level the player must manage their Bulbies to reach escape velocity, while at the same time protect themselves. This is not just an action game of collection and avoidance. There is also a great deal of strategy involved as well.
