Super 8 film shoots stunning home application

Super 8, a new application named after the homonymous film by JJ Abrams that opens on June 10 is not a lame teaser clip collection or a set of slapped together. Rather, it is a video recorder with all the features designed to emulate Super 8 film cameras.

Browser rumblings and mobile movement

As April came to a close, we saw plenty of activity in the worlds of browsers and mobile apps.

First, Microsoft gained a bit of steam as IE9 skipped ahead of Opera in browser usage (though only by a fraction of a point). A significant update to the Opera browser's Speed Dial feature launched today in Opera 11.50 alpha (download), along with Opera Next, which includes a mechanism that makes it easier for Opera fans to automatically download under-construction builds of the browser.
