Midway Arcade Review

The question here is the controls. The on-screen joystick are all simulated analog sticks, even for games with digital controls. Games that support 8-way movement like Total Carnage, Gauntlet, and NARC all work really well suffer, the rest from problems. The two racing games, APB and Spy Hunter support tilt controls, but they are very sensitive and extremely difficult to handle and reliable. The game lacks Icade support for this game is pretty much a sin. As well, multiplayer is lacking, although this would probably be a tricky also implemented without some form of technology like GGPO, have to make the delay that would come from wireless multiplayer, even in the local form.

Nevertheless, not with co-op in a game like Gauntlet missing a very omission which caused a lot of fun the game is losing it would have had otherwise.Despite the control issues, this is still a fantastic compilation for fans of classic arcade games. The charges that were repackaged into making this more than just a bunch of Arcade titles makes it worth it just for that.
