Hands-on look at Opera Mini 6 for iPhone and iPad

Opera Mini 6 (Universal) was released today for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, so that alternative browser version Ios devices for the first time. We had the opportunity to further thin the browser through its paces and I think that offers several features that users will like. With the right settings, which may even be the favorite in Apple's Safari - if people are willing to give it a try.
Opera Mini 6
The clean, elegant interface of many practical features, with only five buttons to choose from, along with the address bar and search. The main menu of the Opera at the top left shows that most of the features of Opera Mini, which gives you access to your bookmarks, browsing history, the home page (or speed dial), sites previously saved , browser settings, word search, sharing options, and a useful help section. While Opera Mini is not browser tabs in the traditional sense, playing the indicator tab (next to the address bar) brings its pages open, visually it is easy to switch between Web sites.
Opera seems to have put much effort to make Opera Mini 6 run smoothly on IOS devices. Pinch zooming and panning is smooth for a great total experience ipad. The touch zoom function is a little confusing, however. In our tests, playing a link sometimes frustrating and sometimes catch the link load. Hopefully this is something Opera again later.
The default search field of Google search, but you can play the Google logo on the left side of the search box on sites like Amazon, eBay, Wikipedia and exclusively. A button at the bottom of the resulting box lets you manage and edit your search engines, but it allows you to add more. Therefore, if you add a site as Ask.com, you have to edit and delete a current input (like Wikipedia) to have at all times Ask.com. This seems a bit restrictive and more work than it should be, but the fact is that most people use Google for general searches anyway.

For navigation, you can also take advantage of Opera's speed dial for quick access to your favorite sites. Simply touch the menu button Opera at the top left, then press the home page for the 3x3 design speed dial sites.

Opera preload common sites by default, but you can touch and hold (or long-click) any of the pages to switch to their favorite sites. We really like this feature, especially in a mobile device like the iPhone or IPAD, since they generally do not spend much time surfing the Web as you would on a desktop computer. In other words, nine quick navigation options are usually sufficient for standard web browsing session on a mobile device. If you need more, you can easily use the features of Opera Mini marker.

Opera Mini also offers a couple of ways to view the previous session navigation. The history of the browser works as expected with a list of previously visited sites. But you also have the option to save pages for the right to a story you want to read later. When you want to see a story, then press the Saved pages in the Opera menu, then click the plus sign to add to your list. Now you can go directly there without wasting time searching or browsing to it.

Opera Mini 6 has some sharing options for sending sites and stories of others. Just touch the Share button on the Opera menu to send a link to Twitter, Facebook, or the My Opera community.

Opera Mini is a great browsing experience, but a couple of useful features not come to this first version of IOS. You will not be able to sync bookmarks, Speed Dial, or custom searches via Opera Link, but we think (judging by previous releases of Opera Mini), these features are likely to be available in a future update. It is also important to note that even with its proxy navigation technology, will still not be able to view Flash content on the IOS device.

In general, quick load times, quick access to favorite sites through speed dial, and long elegant menus Click to see additional options, Opera Mini 6 has had a great start in Ios devices. With a few more feature additions and improvements, which could even become the first choice for iOS Internet - even through Apple's Safari.
