Fun video applications for the iPhone

Mogo Video

It does not seem that long ago when I would have to carry a camera to capture VHS video of family events, holidays and other memories that I could live again later by inserting the VHS tape and hit the play button on our player video. While it is a viable solution for capturing memories in motion, carry a video camera everywhere we went was not exactly practical.

Fortunately these days, and there is no need for VHS tapes or secure fresh package of digital video camera, because we have the ability to shoot video right reasonably well in our smartphones. With the iPhone 4 cameras in front and looking back, we have more options for shooting videos, and hundreds of interesting video applications in the App Store, we have tons of interesting (and sometimes strange) choices.

This week's collection of applications that provides some options for shooting videos look good. The first application that allows the action of the movie before hitting the record button, the second makes retro-looking videos with the effects of the control and application of latest professional gives you some options for more serious shooting movies.

Mogo Video (99 cents) lets you record videos on your iPhone, it offers a unique touch. With Mogo video, you can record the action that occurred before reaching record. As long as the application is activated, Mogo is recording, but not saving what is seen through the iPhone's camera. Therefore, maybe you think your child may take their first steps, for example. With video Mogo enabled you can point your iPhone to your child, and when successfully walk on your own, you can hit the record button to capture what happened a certain number of seconds before recording.

Mogo think it can be useful for many things beyond the example above and you have several options to make it work better for the action in question. Say you're watching a basketball game, as another example. Mogo can set video recording 10 seconds in the past so you can capture the work that leads to a rip roaring mate. You no longer need to be lucky enough to capture an incredible moment, because the application does not limit the amount of time to be recorded in the past. But obviously, the application will not be able to record what happened before launching the application. Along with the ability to edit the amount of time, you can also turn the flash on and off on the iPhone 4 and can switch between the front and rear facing cameras.

In general, video Mogo is an interesting concept that will be useful in specific situations, action-oriented. If you want to see the big play, or witness a first time with their children without having to constantly record the action, Mogo is a fun and effective way to capture exciting moments of life.

8mm Vintage Camera
8 mm camera harvest ($ 1.99) application allows you to make videos of old-timey with some cool feature variations and effects. Just when we launched this application we were reminded of the popular application Hipstamatic camera because the camera 8 mm Vintage offers a vaguely similar feature set, but used to make stylized videos.

Start your project by operating the wheel in the bottom right of the screen to choose from five different video effects such as the adjustment of 1920 and black-white or adjustment of 70 pellets. Then you can slide the viewfinder in the upper right to select effects such as an unstable frontier movie (such as old movies) or a burning effect which causes the outer edges of the film seem to melt as you shoot. Different combinations of lenses and the film will give you several options on how the video will turn out.

Unlike Hipstamatic, Vintage 8 mm camera lets you adjust all settings in one screen. Besides the options of the film and the lens, you have the option of using the iPhone 4 brightest flash scenes, there is a button that gives his film an effect of instability of the frame and can switch between 4 cameras iPhone ahead or looking back.

When finished, you can hit my cart button to navigate through your shot videos, and playing a specific project, it gives you options to save the video to the library of photos, e-mail, or upload directly to YouTube .

In general, 8 mm camera crop is one of the best apps I've found to make old-timey movies in the iTunes App Store, with enough lens and variations of the film to give much to experience. Anyone who likes old 8 mm films should definitely check out this application.

Filmic Pro
Film Pro ($ 2.99) gives your iPhone camera a new front-end for recording higher quality video, with professional tools for controlling exposure, the focal point, and more. As we know, the capabilities of hardware and behind the camera HD video of the iPhone are impressive on their own - but its controls integrated video recording is primitive frustrating for more experienced filmmakers, and the iPhone is not always smart about management factors such as exposure and white balance.

Film Pro offers an interface that is clean and simple, and all controls run along the bottom of the screen, which is perfect for keeping a firm grip on the thumb of his camera. On the left side of the screen has buttons to lock and unlock the focus, exposure and white balance, and turn on the LED flashlight. At the top, in the main window has two grids (or, optionally, one, to run and shoot scenarios) you can drag to adjust the focus, exposure and white balance to anywhere in the shot. On the right side, has a record button, clip library, information (a quick start of the interface), and the configuration, which includes lots of extras, such as controls for the resolution, frames per second variable bars, color, and a customizable list with automatic advance for each shot.

In general, cinema Pro is a great value and worth downloading if you are a budding filmmaker or a film vet. This application can greatly increase the quality of their videos, allowing you to get much more than the iPhone's camera, without adding any extra burden.
